What Logggs keeps about you, why, who helps us run it, and how to have it changed or deleted. Logggs (logggs.com) is a service of Hangar 113 LLC (“we”, “us”).
What we keep
- Your account: your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and email address and that Google has verified it. If you sign in with Facebook, Facebook tells us your name, your email address and an ID number for your Facebook account; nothing else from Facebook is asked for or kept, and nothing is ever posted to Facebook. We never see a Google or Facebook password. How to have this deleted: Deleting your data.
- The account holder’s details: name, mailing address and phone number, and the plan and its payments. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or keep your card number. Stripe tells us the card’s brand and last four digits so we can show which card is on file.
- Your aircraft’s records: the logbook pages, photos and documents you upload, what we read from them, corrections, squawks and their photos, hour readings, and the people you invite and what each may see.
- How the service is used: the searches made in your portal, sign-ins and the kind of device and browser used (so we can tell you about a sign-in from a new device), and a record of changes made to your records, by whom and when.
- If you ask for a live demo or join the affiliate program: the name, email address and phone number you give us; for affiliates, also how you want to be paid and, before any payment, a W-9.
- Cookies: one to keep you signed in, one that remembers your device for the new-device notice, a short-lived one during a Google or Facebook sign-in, and, if you came from an affiliate’s link, one that remembers that link’s code. Your light or dark choice is kept in your own browser. There is no advertising and no analytics or tracking service on Logggs.
What we use it for
To run Logggs for you: to read your logbook pages, keep your records, work out what is coming due, sign you in, take payment, answer support requests, keep the service secure, and send you the emails the service needs (sign-in links, notices about your account and records, receipts). After a live demo we may send one follow-up email. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your records for advertising.
Who helps us run it
We use a small number of companies to provide the service, each only for its part and under its own obligations to protect the data:
- Fly.io hosts Logggs and its data, in the United States.
- Amazon Web Services delivers our email.
- Stripe takes payments.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- OpenAI and AI models we run on dedicated hardware rented from RunPod read the logbook pages you upload so their entries can be put into your records. OpenAI does not use the pages sent to it through its business service to train its models.
We never use your records to train AI models, and we never share one customer’s records with another. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your records are kept while your plan is active. After a plan is cancelled, they are deleted 30 days after it ends; after a payment that isn’t made, 90 days after it fails. We email the account holder a week before. On request we delete them sooner. Encrypted backups are kept for up to a year and then removed, so deleted records leave the backups within a year.
How it is protected
Every customer’s records live in their own separate portal. There are no passwords to steal: you sign in with Google or a link by email. Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS), the data is stored on encrypted disks, and the backups are encrypted. See Security.
Your choices
You can see and correct your records in your portal. To have your account, your records or anything else we keep about you deleted or corrected, or to ask what we keep, write to support@logggs.com from your account’s email address. A copy of your original log files that were uploaded can be sent on request; see the FAQ.
Children
Logggs is for aircraft owners and the people who maintain their aircraft. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with its date. For a change that matters, we also email account holders before it takes effect.
